Right; This photography was shot yesterday in the rain from the balcony of my apartment, used an tripod of coarse due to night but I also intended to get a sharp shot of the rain drops close to the camera so I decided to use a flash. The result was unexpected seeing that the street itself is quite visible portrayed with the street lamps but simultaneously the rain drops has received the flash that obviously don't reach too far away from the camera, giving the photo sharp rain drops but also sharp background. I wanted to create something that catches your eyes and I usually don't manipulate my photo's, specially since most of them are macro and there is no need of manipulation, but I added an filter to this image bringing out an calm purple light on the buildings and intensifying the lights of the street. Mostly because I wanted the reflection in the water to illuminate. I hope you'll enjoy this one.
I love this picture. The dual-focus is quite awesome. I also really like the fact that you actually took the time to explain how you accomplished this before anyone even asked.
WHOA DUDE. I frickin' LOVE this one! I don't think your use of filter detracts from this at all, but enhances it. Really, really awesome. The raindrops are definitely my favourite part - I love how they're both in focus and blurry in the foreground. It gives it such a textured feel. One of your best pieces to date, I think!! <3

Wow your comments, you know what, next time I'll take an artistic photography I'll definitely dedicate it to you! ^^ Enhancing was precisely my goal with the filter, I didn't want the colors to turn all weird and non-real; merely the street lights to illuminate more. Thanks a whole bunch for all the nice things you've written, I'm completely stunned
Thanks for sharing this wonderful picture!!!
